The City Manager is empowered as the Executive Director of the Commission and the Agency.

Lifestyle:

El Centro's climate is warm and dry with more sunshine recorded in Imperial Valley than in any other area in the United States. With air-conditioned homes and businesses, people find living here pleasant year round.

With three golf courses in and near El Centro, boating and water sports facilities, duck and dove hunting and fishing, there are activities that can be enjoyed year round, but especially in the winter months.

Community:

El Centro is located in the southernmost part of California, adjacent to the north border of Mexico. El Centro is pro-business and aggressively pursuing diversified growth, offering a diverse, yet stable and productive labor force.

Led by a strong coalition of local business and elected officials and backed by a populace seriously committed to economic growth, El Centro offers outstanding opportunities for both business and industry. The business climate maintained through the cooperation of public agencies and progressive business community make the city a favorable destination.
