Welcome to the Field Operations Division. We have three Sub-Divisions (Patrol, Traffic, and Crisis Response Unit). Please scroll down to learn more about what we do.

Patrol Division. The Patrol Division is here to protect you "Every Hour Every Day". For patrol issues call us at 760-352-2111 and ask for Patrol Sergeant. You may also search by specific sergeant or commander by clicking here. Remeber, if you have an emergency, please call 911

Traffic Division. The Traffic Division enhances vehicular safety by enforcement and education efforts. Traffic related issues and or concerns can be directed to Traffic Sergeant John Seaman at 760-336-8991 or via email at jseaman@ecpd.org

Additionally, the traffic unit has the responsibility of enforcing all of the City Ordinances regulating traffic flow and vehicular parking in our City. The unit is assisted by the Crime Analysis Unit in the collection of statistics. The unit also enforces State and Local ordinances and Vehicle Code Sections.

The Unit is staffed by 1 Traffic Sergeant, 2 Motor Officers, 1 Parking Enforcement Deputy and 1 Community Service Officer.

Crisis Response Unit (CRU) is comprised of the Crisis Negotiations Team (CNT), and the Special Weapons and Tactics Unit (SWAT). These units have been established to provide specialized support in handling critical field operations where intense negotiations and/or special tactical deployment methods beyond the capacity of field officers appear to be necessary.
