Halloween Safety Tips
 
For Kids
  • Always carry a flashlight
  • Walk don't run
  • Stay on sidewalks and obey traffic signals
  • Bring candy home to be inspected by an adult before consuming
  • Walk on Sidewalks; NOT in the street
  • Cross the Street only at corners
  • Be Cautious of Animals and Strangers
SPIDER
 
For Home Owners
  • Make sure your yard is clear of such things as ladders, hoses, etc.
  • If you use candles, place them away from trick-or-treaters
  • Suggestions for Non-Food treats: plastic rings, pencils, stickers, coins
  • Don't ignore your kids, TALK safety with them .. be a part of the fun!!!

 
Motorists
  • Drive cautiously on Halloween Evening
  • If your car is in the driveway, make sure it is a well-lighted home to prevent injuries
 
Parents
  • Make sure your kids use Non-Toxic face paints
  • Inspect all of your child's treats before allowing him(her) to sample any
  • Discard anything not in its original and undamaged wrapper
  • Keep homemade food only if you know who prepare it
  • Cut open fruit and inspect for razor blades
 
If you suspect your child has swallowed something harmful, Call 911 Immediately
 
Make it Fun Tips
  • Stay in Familiar Neighborhoods
  • Carry only Flexible Knives, Swords or other props.
  • Wear Clothing with Reflective Markins or Tape
  • Eat Dinner before Setting Out
  • Ask your parents to buy Flame-Retardant material costumes
  • Your parents should know where you're going
