The El Centro Police Department Crime Prevention Unit is pleased to present you and your family with the first Neighborhood Watch Newsletter; the “Good Neighbor News”. We recognize that while most of you want to be kept informed about what is going on in your city, personal obligations may not always allow you to attend meetings and community forums to discuss crime related issues at hand. Our goal is to not only keep you posted on crime trends that may affect you, but to also remind you of ways to keep you and your family safe from crime.
If you would like to see an issue addressed in this quarterly newsletter, or to stop receiving this publication, please contact Nicole at 337-4517 or nkenagy@ecpd.org . |

COPPER THEFT WATCH The El Centro Police Department is advising all residents and business owners to be alert to ongoing copper thefts within El Centro and surrounding areas. Thieves are primarily targeting air conditioning units in areas with little or no visibility at night. To protect your home or business against copper thieves, keep side gates locked to your backyard, and consider installing a motion sensing light near your A/C unit. If you have any information relating to recent copper thefts, please call 337-4525. |
