Rosanna Bayon Moore

Rosanna Bayon Moore is serving her first term on the El Centro City Council.
Ms. Moore returned to the Valley in 2002, after spending much of her childhood in Brawley and El Centro. Ms. Moore is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and English. She was named a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs in 1997 that resulted in her working with such organizations as the Transport Workers Union, the city of San Francisco Ethics Commission, former Gov.
Jerry Brown's We the People, Pacific Telesis and the Center on Juvenile and Criminal Justice. She subsequently worked in the nonprofit arena, as both a practitioner and later as a technical assistance consultant.

In 2000, Ms. Moore entered graduate school at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and earned a Masters in Public Administration, concentrating on Urban Policy and Advanced Management Techniques. While in New York, she was employed as a researcher for PolicyLink, and as a graduate student instructor in financial management for the public sector. She is currently employed as a planner with The Holt Group in El Centro.

Ms. Moore is married to Dean Syrengelas, a special education teacher. They have two children, Vasilios, age 4, and Jimmy, age 1.
